Miss Black Teen US Ambassador 2016 | Sectra Okundaye
Sectra Okundaye was crowned Miss Black Teen US Ambassador 2016 on July 9 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sectra was born in Nigeria and currently resides in Boston Massachusetts. After graduating from Wakefield Memorial High School in the spring of 2016, Sectra recently began her college career at Regis College, as a nursing major in order to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
In 2013, she started her own non-profit charity, called Angels Touch World, where she raises money and awareness for orphans in Nigeria. In 2014, Sectra was honored for her charitable work and received the Philanthropist Award by the Edo, Nigeria Convention.
In addition to Sectra’s love of volunteerism, she is a world traveler and has been to every continent, except Antarctica. Over the next year, Sectra looks forward to traveling and encouraging teens around the globe to figure out what their purpose is in life and to dig deep in order to make a lasting impact on the world around them.
